2nd Annual Hardcore Invitational 2010 "Back in Black"
Full details will be posted by the end of July. Tourney will be held Saturday October 9th at "Bobby`s" launch in Mt. Holly on the upper end of Lake Wylie.(same location as last year)
This year will be a Big fish,CASH PAYBACK tourney. $500 for 1st place, $250 for 2nd, and on down the line as many places as we can pay depending on the number of entrants.
As of 8-23-10 I feel certain we will go over 30 anglers. It`s very hard to judge since people are such procrastinators. Just to give everybody an idea of what the total will look like 35 paid anglers with a $1050 total purse.$30 of each fee will go toward payback. Remember $10 per head goes to pay for the BBQ. So far we only have 1 free berth going to Bob Dainton, the Winner of the BPS River Bassin tourney. I have so far been unable to get in touch with Mike, last years champ, to come back and defend the title for free.We still want to maybe use $150 of registrations for another year of NCangler sponsorship and our website.If we get up to 35 or so we may deduct it- otherwise we`ll figure out another way to pay for that.

Due to the amount of $$$ on the line we are changing to a BIG FISH format in order to ease judging and ensure no fish sharing.
Of course it is still human powered only and catch, photo, release.
We had a 30 angler cap on last year but after seeing how well things went it will be expanded to a 40 angler maximum this year.
August will be for ALUMNI from the inaugural event to sign up only. Open registration will begin in September for anyone wishing to participate.

We are Hardcore..... There is no off-season. Hardcore is all year, all conditions. We are wherever and whenever the bite is. Hardcore is 125 plus outings a year. It`s 4:00 a.m. roll-outs and road trips. Tournaments and volunteering. Hardcore is adaptability to wind, rain, current, drought, fog, scorching sun, and frozen equipment. Hardcore is not a hobby. It is a lifestyle.
Hardcore is not wanting to kayak fish it is needing to kayak fish. Hardcore is knowing in your soul that you will never quit. So grab a paddle, but leave your problems at home. Bring your rod but leave your reservations on the dock.
